• Due to Memorial Day falling on Monday, May 26 and there is no Citadel practice, orders placed on Monday, May 19, will need to be picked up on Wednesday, May 28 from 6:45pm-7:30pm.  There will be no Cash and Carry the week of May 26.  Orders may be dropped off on May 28, but they will not be placed until Monday, June 2.

WHAT IS SCRIP?

Scrip are gift certificates that are accepted as cash at various vendors. The Citadel FC Scrip Program purchases these certificates/cards from local and national merchants in bulk, at a discount.

The scrip are then purchased through the Citadel FC program and are redeemed by our families at area grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and retail locations.

The difference between the discount prices at which the scrip was originally purchased and the face value at which it is sold to you (minus 2% program operating costs) is credited to your team account. The scrip program keeps track of everything for you and passes the information on to your team manager.

Credits can be applied to your soccer fees when due or may also be applied at any time during the soccer season for soccer related expenses (cleats, goalie gloves, hotels). Many scrip patrons have been able to save enough to allow their child to play for free on their credit. The 2006-2007 scrip year of savings begins starting August 1.

EXAMPLE

You spend $100 each week at Scott’s Food Stores, $25 at Speedway Gas Station, and $20 at Pizza Hut or Wendy’s:

Scott’s @ 3% = $3.00 profit each week totaling $156 after 52 weeks
Speedway @ 2% = $.50 profit each week totaling $26 after 52 weeks
Pizza Hut/Wendy’s @ 7% = $1.40 profit each week totaling $72.80 after 52 weeks

Total fee savings for 1 year = $254.80

And think of the additional savings you can earn by using scrip at other vendors for back-to-school clothes, Christmas and birthday presents, etc.!

OPERATING FEES

For scrip that pays 5% or higher Citadel keeps 2%
For scrip that pays 4% or below Citadel keeps 1%

Scrip is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Download and fill out a scrip order form.  Keep a copy for your records.
2. Write a check to "Citadel FC," or pay cash.
3. Redeem gift certificates/cards at the vendor just like cash.
